3 Summer Festivals Near New Windsor Built Communities!

The mountains of western North Carolina come alive each summer with festivals celebrating everything from music to barbecue to art to Cherokee history.  The people of this region really know how to put together a community event that is fun for all ages.  So if you are new to the area and live in a Windsor Built Community, you can check out one of these great festivals just a short drive from your new home.

The White Squirrel Festival — Brevard, NC  – (20 miles from River Stone) 5/27-29

Fire on the Lake — Weaverville, NC (Minutes from Reems Creek Cottages and Lakeside Meadows) July 4th

On Lake Lousie on the Fourth of July, you can celebrate the 240th birthday of this great nation by listening to the music of Leigh Glass and Devils in Dust on stage from 7-10 and then the fireworks begin.  There are shuttle buses that are available to access the lake from the parking and handicapped parking is available closer to the lake.  Spend a day in Weaverville and spend the evening celebrating our great nation.

Apple Festival — Hendersonville (5 Miles from Wolf Chase and Eagle Pointe) 9/2 -5

One of the largest and most popular festivals in western North Carolina, the Apple Fesitval is celebrated every Labor Day Weekend, right at the heart of apple season in the historic downtown of Hendersonville.  Main Street comes alive with music, arts & crafts, and games for the kids.  If you would like to know more about the Apple Festival check out there website here.
